4. Conclusion
This study reports the synthesis of the nano-adsorbent Fe3O4@MPS@IL NPs and its application to the extraction and enrichment of PAHs from coffee and tea samples with MSPE prior to HPLC-FLD. The adsorbent was highly efficient, reusable and environmentally friendly. The MSPE procedure was also rapid and simple, and the adsorbent can be easily separated from the sample solution. The MSPE-HPLC-FLD method exhibited good LODs, RSDs, linearity and enrichment factors. Moreover, this technique was successfully applied to analyze the PAH content in coffee and tea samples with satisfactory precision and accuracy. As strong and hydrophobic interactions form between adsorbents and organic pollutants, this new nano-adsorbent may also have applications in the extraction and analysis of other organic pollutants.
