Some of these challenges might seem familiar, don’t be afraid to think about your own experience growing up and use that to help your host children with what they might be experiencing. If you ever feel that your host child is in danger, or involved in risk-taking behavior, be sure to involve your host parents. Risk-taking behavior might include sneaking out, not following the family rules or drinking alcohol.
