Eleven of 13 cohort studies included in this review provided estimates of the association between total RPA and EOC risk (Fig. 2b).
Among these, all but two risk estimates were statistically insignificant.
Specifically, Schnohr et al. reported a significant inverse association be-
tween RPA and EOC risk (OR = 0.33, 95% CI: 0.16–0.67) [13] and Chionh
et al. reported a significant positive association between RPA and EOC
risk (OR = 2.21, 95% CI: 1.16–4.24) [14]. The remaining 9 studies yielding statistically insignificant associations were collectively equivocal, with 5 studies reporting RRs below 1.0 [15–19] and 4 reporting RRs
above 1.0
