Neem leaves were manually washed with running water to remove impurities. Ten grams of leaves, not including stems, were then airdried, cut, and ground to small pieces. They were subjected to standard procedures of percolation to obtain the ethanol extract. The final extract of 1 g/ml was diluted accordingly with ethanol to produce concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and pure diluent for 0%. The extracts were stored in sterile vials.
