Next, the correlations describing the relationship between indoor
and outdoor noise levels (Table 3) were subdivided according
to the bedroom location for both timeframes separately.
Mann–Whitney U Tests, using the mean correlation coefficient
per subject, were performed to investigate whether the strength
of the correlations depended on the bedroom location. Results
showed that no stronger correlations were present at the street
side (r = 0.52 for T.2307 and r = 0.50 for T.TIB) compared to the
backside of the dwelling (r = 0.48 for T.2307 and r = 0.48 for
T.TIB), (both p > .10).
