Physicochemical, biochemical and microbiological properties of the study soils
The minimum and maximum values of the selected physicochemical and biochemical properties analyzed in the Natural Park are summarized in Table 1 and mean values and standard deviation are shown in Table 2 and Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. The results indicated that although the values of the burnt soil samples differed from those obtained for the unburnt soil samples, in general, the order of magnitude was similar. The studied soils are very acid with high soil organic matter (SOM) content and very high water retention capacity due to the high content of SOM.
