In summary, this is the first study that shows a clear change in
planned risky behavior (drinking) just on the basis on a very lowalcohol
dose. Overall, it appears that consuming a low dose of alcohol with a
man in a social situation might increase the likelihood of a woman's
heavier drinking later, but only if the man is someone she already
knows. One implication is that interventions targeting women's drinking
decisions in possible sexual assault situations should begin at a
very low BAC level.
