Data relating to farm and other socio-economic variables were collected in 2010 from a sample of 66 farmers, including both the 25 IPM farmers and 25 non-IPM farmers selected for the present comparison studies. Farmers were asked questions related to socioeconomic profile, farming educational level, operational size of landholding, experience in vegetable growing, cropping system, and cauliflower cultivation practices (Table 1). The data were collected using pre-tested schedules by personal interview.
