Create a Whole Unit Mail-In repair for Beats whole unit products
1) Follow troubleshooting steps in the Beats by Dr. Dre Service Guide and the Beats Visual/Mechanical Inspection (VMI) Guide.
2) If the Beats product is eligible for repair, ask customers for Proof of Purchase (POP) documentation. Note that in Europe, Beats product warranties could be up to 2 years (3 years in Sweden).
Follow this process if customers provide POP:
a) Enter the Beats serial number to start creating a repair (see section 2. Determine the Beats product serial number).
b) Select the correct part for the repair.
Note: Certain Beats products may require a part substitution. Please inform customers of the substitution (if applicable) before saving the repair. If a customer does not accept the substitution, please contact AppleCare Channel Support (ACS) to determine next steps.
