White rot fungus C. versicolor IBL-4 showed variable decolorization
efficiency for industrial effluents of different colors. The
36% decolorization of ART effluent by the fungus observed in 6
days could be substantially enhanced by optimization of process
parameters like pH and temperature. Decolorization potential of
the fungus was further enhanced to 84% in 3 days by the addition
of starch as carbon source. MnP was found to play the key oxidative
role in degradation of dyes present in the ART effluent. The
