We had a nine hour layover here; my second visit. The rooms are clean and spacious, and we had a good night's sleep here, transiting between two international flights. Upon arrival, we were taken to the club lounge for check-in, as I'm Le Club member; we were told that breakfast was served from 3am, and I inquired as to whether breakfast was included in our stay. The woman checked her slip of paper, and confirmed it was. The next morning, after finishing breakfast, we were presented for a bill for $40. Upon querying this, we were taken back to the lounge and told we would have to pay. I was very disappointed about this, but with a plane to catch, we didn't have the time to pursue the point and decided to just pay up and leave. The woman who checked us in obviously made a mistake, and I did too by not revisiting the booking and confirming whether breakfast was included. However, I felt this was poorly handled; the club lounge staff could see that I have a history of staying in Accor Hotels and I have been a loyal customer of the chain; furthermore, whilst we did consume a very small amount of food, the cost incurred by the hotel as a result of this mistake would have been absolutely minimal; it was a buffet and not a la carte. The whole experience literally left us with a very bad taste in our mouth.
