Regarding the traceability trial that need to conduct every year to ensure that product can be tracked and traced accurately within our traceability systems within a defined time (i.e. the timing and accuracy targets defined below are verified).
As a minimum a traceability trial must be run on an annual basis to test the traceability systems in place within the operation. The scope must cover not just the operations in which the trial is being conducted but also one step back – intake – and one step forward – dispatch.
Where an operation has taken part in a real recall activity, there is no requirement to complete a trial providing that the timing and accuracy targets listed below were met.
Thus this year for Personal care, the timing to conduct the traceability trial will held on as date below. The e-mail which send to you will note with “Dummy Recall” for notice that is the practice naka.
• Soap plant : 7 December 2016.
• CO plant : 8 December 2016.
• PCL plant : 12 December 2016.
Timing and accuracy targets for tracking and tracing of product within the Unilever Supply Chain are:
• Maximum 4 hours for full pallets
• Maximum 24 hours for partial pallets (e.g. pallets produced from order pick, promotional or repacking activities)
• 105% accuracy – to allow for the full “capture” of affected product
Records of traceability exercises must follow the standard template provided and stored in the repository. Key learnings from any traceability exercise must be reviewed and actions to close any gaps clearly recorded in the form.
The timing and accuracy targets above must form part of any distribution or logistics contract.
