The school staff meetings included the project director and
acting principal (the dean emeritus of the school of education),
school staff, and university mentors. Meeting agendas and minutes
included ongoing information and discussions on improving student
achievement; curriculum development; student assessment;
teaching strategies; faculty development; co-curricular and extracurricular
activities; resources; parental involvement; and other
relevant school issues. The minutes reflected discussions emerging
from university mentors in relationship to teaching and learning.
Informal meeting notes by university mentors reflected teachers’
anxieties in facing, resisting, and dealing with change.
