You must take into account the fact that all people have hopes, dreams, desires, and goals of their own. If you are their leader, you must bring together your vision and the aspirations of your people in a way that benefits everyone. It requires you to know your people, believe in your people, and support your people. You value them as assets rather than liabilities.
