Q.5. Five Hindrances
These hindrances are mental defilements. They are classified into five groups:
1. Sensual desire: indulgence in the five sense objects. It is one kind of craving or attachment.
2. Ill-will: refers to the angry state of mind. Ill will can be divided three categories: Ill will towards living beings, Sadness and Fear.
3. Sloth and torpor: makes slow to the mind or weakens the mind.
4. Restlessness and remorse: Restlessness refers to a mind which is like a monkey.
5. Skeptical doubts:about Dhamma and Truth.
Q.6. Dhammanussati
Dhammànussati (Recollection of Dhamma) is the second medium to concentrate mind. He has described about six qualities of the Dhamma.
One who wants to develop the recollection of the Dhamma should go into solitary retreat and recollect the special qualities of Dhamma as follows:
The Dhamma is well proclaimed by the Blessed One, visible here and now, not delayed (timeless), inviting of inspection, onward-leading, and directly experience-able by the wise.
