he Solomon Islands tsunami was generated by a Mw 7.5 earthquake (6.755°S 155.024°E), 2014-04-19 13:28:01 UTC, 70km (43mi) SW of Panguna, Papua New Guinea (according to the USGS). In approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, the tsunami was first recorded at tsunameter/DART® buoy 52402. Forecast results shown below were created with the NOAA forecast method using MOST model.
