fifth cycle the molecular weight results are higher for LPG proba- bly because the enzyme was submitted to a less aggressive solvent for a lower time, preserving its activity. Moreover, the PI was also determined for the reuse assays, with the following values: 1.5, 1.4, 1.4, 1.3 and 1.3 from the 1st to the 5th cycles.
As a consequence of these results, we suggest some improve- ments in the process, such as: replacement of the agitation system and the use of a more careful drying procedure for the compounds, prior to the reaction.
