In the case of the analysed electric motor, the main mechanical connection elements are screws and a forced montage between the stator and the frame. Thus there were pointed the points where are considered the screw connections.
The 3D models of the parts were done using the facilities offered by the soft IDEAS.
The next step was to generate the mesh of each solid part. There were considered two distinguish cases: for both bearings were made solid meshes and for the other parts there were generated surface meshes.
Important regions and points used in parts connections were defined by the surfaces splitting procedure.
The first considered part was the rotor. For a simplified model, the rotor was considered as one 3D part with the shaft made of steel and a silicon steel core (see Fig. 1,a).
In real model, on the rotor there mounted two bearings, NSK 6204-2ZC3 and NSK 6205-2ZC3. The two bearings are balls bearings one axial-radial and the other one radial [9].
Considering the thickness of each bearing rings on the shaft there were made partitions with the same length as the rings
