In terms of principle of Destination Analysis, there are three types of gathering and analysis of data. First of all, gathering and analysis of primary data, primary data are original data which are experienced, experimented, searched or collected data by people who analysis data himself or herself for a specific purpose of search, such as in-depth interview, focus group, survey and observation. The advantages of primary data are the answer of the question or the solution of the problem fits for the purpose of the research. In terms of business, travel and tourism, this primary data will be easy for the company to develop and qualify their organisation or destination. The disadvantage of primary data is the cost of the experiment or
search of the research and also the long period of time that is used for gathering data. Secondly, secondary data collect data on the same or different purpose which already available for using. The advantages of secondary data are the lower cost of secondary data and this data can be collected and searched in quicker time or within a short period of time. Besides, the process of collection is simpler and easier. The disadvantages of secondary data are about the information that may not all fit with the purpose of research and some case the information is risky and not up-to-date. The final is the gathering and analysis of data from analysis of data which both analysed subjectively and objectively. In terms of travel and tourism, a subjective analysis is generally applied to qualitative data about cultural impacts of tourism, services or perception. An objective analysis is mainly using the scientific method about economic or ecological impact of tourism.
