Transplanting infected plants into sterile soil and
pathogen-free pots prior to chemical treatment improved
the rooting of these plants compared to the plants which
were treated in their original containers. Only 4 applications
of benomyl were made and the difference between treatments may have been greater given additional applications.
Occasionally, researchers have suspected an interaction
between Cylindrocladium sp. and pythiaceous fungi in
root rot of Spathiphyllum. The first experiment was performed to test the influence of fungicides for control of both
