The activation energy can be found to be 17.97 kJ/
mol by using Eq. (8). This value is higher than that
corresponding to vegetable waste drying (19.82 kJ/mol)
(Lopez et al., 2000) but lower than the value
obtained for garlic (54.9 kJ/mol) (Madamba et al.,
1996) and for corn (29.56 kJ/mol) (Doymaz & Pala,
2003).
