Feb 26 2013: I worked as a media ad

Feb 26 2013: I worked as a media advocate in my late
teens and early twenties. I worked in a radio station
pro-bono; and spoke against social ills like teenage
pregnancy, drug abuse, rape and female genital
mutilation.
At that time most people thought I was too young to be
talking about such; but I was too passionate to listen to
their objections. I had to use my pocket money at that
time to fund some of these things and I was like a fool
for even caring (since my parents were considered
elites and I need not worry if the society burns or
explodes): but looking back, I will say that it was worth
it.

I`m still involved in media advocacy on another
level(may not be able to do certain things without being
paid as it was in the past) ; I still make sure that my
voice is heard.

I was not a fool then; neither am I now.
