Data were collected by a team of researchers who examined demographic
variables, work-related stress, workplace bullying, mental
health and other constructs. In addition to these substantive issues,
the survey was designed to register or evaluate potential response bias.
The sample consisted of 2026 employees (of which 52.7% were
males) from 15 Italian companies (12 private industries and 3 public
administrations).
The response rate range, in all organizations, was from 65.4% to
93.0%. Regarding job seniority, 65.5% of the respondents had worked
for up to 7 years in their current company. In addition, 13.8% were managers/middle
managers, 66.9% were white-collar workers and 19.3% of
the respondents were blue-collar workers
