After this successful test, each part of the machine was evaluated taking in consideration the wear that parts suffered and the possibility of lower manufacture cost. The current design has all ball bearings press-mounted on a metal frame made of welded steel sheet previously cut by water-jet. Plastic parts are also water-jet cut, leaving only a few shafts and gears to be made with traditional metal-workshop machinery. So, the new design is adapted to be built in small batches. This new machine was well accepted by local fishermen.
