3.4. Chlorophyll concentration and Chl a/Chl b ratio
Chlorophyll a and b, and total chlorophyll concentration and chlorophyll a/b ratio were not significantly affected by the applied fertigation regime (Table 6). However, Chlorophyll a and total chlorophyll concentration was significantly higher in 2013 than 2014 season.
3.5. NPK concentration in leaves and soil
The concentration of N in the leaves was significantly higher in T2 than all other treatments. However, both P and K concentrations were not affected by the fertilization treatments (Table 7). N and K concentrations were significantly higher in 2013 than 2014 season, while P concentration was similar in both seasons. There were significant interaction effects between treatment and season on N concentration (Table 8). In this respect, there were no significant differences among the fertilization treatments in 2013 in contrast to 2014 season in which T2 showed a significant higher N concentration than all other treatments (Table 8). In the soil, under the drippers, N concentration was significantly higher in CT and T2 than the other treatments (Table 9). Between the drippers, N concentration was significantly higher in CT and T2 than T4. N concentration was higher in 2013 than 2014 season. P concentration either under or between the drippers was significantly higher in T2 and T3 than CT that showed the lowest level. P concentration under and between the drippers was significantly higher in 2013 than 2014 season. K concentration under the drippers was not significantly affected by the applied fertilization treatments.
