This chapter examines key education and labour force outcomes by age 23 of young people who
had participated in VET by age 20. Not all of these had completed the VET program and some had
withdrawn. The next chapter examines differences in outcomes between completers and noncompleters.
The outcomes analysed are:
• education and labour force status;
• experience of unemployment;
• weekly gross earnings and hours worked;
• participation in further training and development; and
• job satisfaction.
