Research by Corporate University Xchange shows that many corporate CEOs get regular updates on learning/training issues by their Chief Learning Officer. While more than 500/0 of CLOs still report to the head of Human Resources, a growing number are now reporting directly to the CEO (see Figure 4-1). This bolsters the view that CLOs enjoy growing recognition in the organization, and that many CLOs are regarded as equivalent to the Chief Information Officer or Chief Financial Officer.
