3.5. The application of 2-TBI/GC electrode for Cd(II) determination
The obtained 2-TBI/GC electrode was applied for determination of cadmium in human plasma samples. The proposed structure of the complex formed between the 2-TBI/GC and Cd(II) ions is presented in Scheme 1[39]. Fig. 9A shows the recorded adsorptive stripping voltammograms for various concentrations of Cd(II) ions ranging from 0.01 nM to 0.25 nM. The regression equation is y = 15.60x + 0.132 (y is peak current, μA; x is Cd(II) concentration, nM; the number of data points is 6) and the correlation coefficient (r) of the linear curve is 0.9990. Each point of the calibration curve was acquired from 6 different measurements (Fig. 9B).
