The organizational contingencies proposed in this article are
hoped to support a more systematic evaluation of meaningful
knowledge transfer across industrial sectors by carefully assessing
differences and similarities within and across high-risk domains.
However, it has to be acknowledged that sound empirical evidence
on the transferability of safety measures and the relevant organizational
contingencies to be considered is scarce. Therefore, much of
was has been presented in this article should also be regarded as
propositions for future research.
