3.2. Growth
The growth parameters of S. hemiphyllum and S. henslowianum
are presented in Fig. 1. The SGRL and SGRW of the seaweeds grown
in the two sites varied significantly among groups (one-way ANOVA,
p = 0.001 and p = 0.018, respectively). The average SGRL for S.
hemiphyllum and S. henslowianum grown in the control site was
0.94 ± 0.16% d1 and 0.30 ± 0.13% d1, respectively, which were
lower than those in the fish farm, while the SGRL of S. hemiphyllum
were significantly higher than those of the S. henslowianum grown
in the same site (p < 0.05) (Fig. 1a). The SGRW of S. hemiphyllum cultured
in the fish farm was significantly higher than those of the
other groups (p < 0.05) (Fig. 1b).
