Comparison of plant height and leaf length of waxy corn between control and chitosan liquid fertilizer plus ammonium-sulfate found that, chitosan liquid fertilizer plus ammonium-sulfate did not affect on growth all varieties. This result was different from the research of Tsugita et al. (1993) reported that, chitosan promoted plant and root growth. However, the growth of waxy corn caused by ammonium-sulfate because ammonium-sulfate has nitrogen, that was an essential for photosynthesis (Barker, 1979) and growth (Radin, 1983).
