As can be seen in Table 6 in the pre-test, attitude levels of the students in the control group towards
mathematic courses has an average of 105.7 points, in the post test it has an average of 107.2 points. There is a
1.50 point difference in favor of the post test between pre and post attitude grades of the students in the control
group. This difference demonstrates the positive change in the attitude level of the students in the control group
towards mathematic courses. According to the results of paired t-test that has been conducted to learn the
significance of the difference between the average grades of control group in pre and post tests, “t” value has not
proved to be significant [t=0.16; (p=.395 > .05)]. Depending on the results obtained, it can be said that the
experimental program planned according to the 4MAT teaching model has not been effective to help the students
in the control group develop a positive attitude towards mathematics course.
