Before starting the experiment and at the end of each growing season, soil samples were collected from 0 to 50 cm depth for NPK determination. Pin nae (leaflets) samples (8 leaflets/palm) were randomly collected for chlorophyll's and NPK determinations. These samples were collected from the middle part of fully expanded leaves which bear the fruit bunches in their exiles around the head of each tree at early beginning of the bi sir stage (fruit color break). At the bi sir stage (full yellow color),all bunches on each palm were harvested and total bunch weigh twas recorded. Fruit samples (25 fruit of each) were also collected for quality characteristics determinations as described below.
