The peak at 370 nm in the 1st derivative spectra was an indicator of the heated oils.

UV–Vis spectroscopy with chemometrics was used firstly to determine AV of edible oils.

The R2 of the PLS models for each kind of oil were all above 0.9900.

The integrate SVR model for all the six kinds of oils gave a R2 of 0.9932 and a RMSE of 0.0656.
