Candida albicans is extremely common, local fungal
infection but can become systemic and life-threatening in immunecompromised
patients. Curcumin has been widely used for treatment of
throat infection. A lozenge made by using gelatine does not have
patient compliance due to its stability problem, low bioavailability &
non-vegetarian nature. The objective of present study was to prepare a
Curcumin Lozenges for treatment of Throat infection mainly used for
paediatric, geriatric and dysphasic patients, which has increased
stability, bioavailability and vegetarian nature. Method: Central
Composite Design is used for optimization of formulation and
subjected to evaluation for its hardness, friability, in vitro dissolution
and Stability studies were carried according to ICH guidelines. Lozenges were prepared by
melting and moulding method
