The mixture was made todough using lukewarm water and 0.5% carboxy–methyl–cellulose(CMC) as binder. The dough was passed through an electricallyoperated semi-automatic pelletizer. The pellets (1.5 mm in diame-ter) thus obtained were initially sun-dried for 6 h and further in ahot air oven at 60◦C for 96 h. The dried pellets were crumbled andpacked in airtight plastic bags to store in a refrigerator until use.Proximate composition of the diets is mentioned in Table 2.2.4
