Absorption, excitation and photoluminescence spectra

Increase in the concentration of cerium ions leads to a slight red-
associated with f–f transitions in the terbium ion [7]. The trans-

The excitation spectra of the luminescence associated with
cerium ions were studied. The broad band in the excitation
spectrum was recorded in the spectral range of 285–335 nm with
a maximum at 315 nm, which corresponds to transitions from the
ground state, the
2 F 5/2
level of Ce 3þ (4 f), to different components
of the excited 5d state in Ce 3þ ion
