The Fe treatment led to a significant increase of shoots Fe concentration in pepper plants, so that the highest shoot Fe concentrations were observed in plants sprayed with Fe-sulfate, whereas Fe-EDTA and Fe-EDDHA led to intermediate concentrations and control led to the lowest one. Previous study by Roosta and Hamidpour (2011) revealed that foliar application of Fe-EDDHA increased Fe concentration in aquaponic grown tomato plants.
