A powerful subset of opinion is prediction. Prediction can feature in almost every lesson. It engages children because it requires personal opinion and because it lay down a comparison pattern.When we've predicted,we want to know if we're right. We become interested in what's going to happen. When we do this, we are imitating life. In life, we guess and predict all the time. When we're reading a book, we're predicting the ending: we don't need a teacher to tell us to do that.
