While visiting in 1957, the Klai Kangwon Palace inspired King Bhumibol to compose the piece of music named after it. He then asked Vichai Kokilakanit, a well-known composer at that time, to compose Thai lyrics describing the beautiful scenery and atmosphere at Klai Kangwon. The song was always used as the finale of the performances by his famous jazz band, 'Au Sau Wan Suk', as the band filled the air of HuaHin with smooth jazz on Saturday nights.
