Two components of expectation significantly influenced decision making in purchasing eco-friendly fuel vehicles. The component of cost had a positive relationship to the likelihood ofpurchasing biofuel vehicles (0.23; p < 0.1) and electric vehicles(0.30; p < 0.05). This result may show that people with moreconcern about technology cost are more likely to purchase biofueland electric vehicles than are those with less concern about technology cost. Moreover, higher ratings for the comfort componentmay be linked to a trend for increased purchases of electric vehiclesin the future (0.33; p < 0.05). Thus, those with more concern aboutvehicle comfort may induce people to purchase electric vehiclesmore so than will those with less concern about vehicle comfort.
