Enterprise Supply Chain Operation
Enterprise operation include the SCIS modules required to support day-to-day supply chain operation. Figure 1.6. illustrates the specific modules including: (1) customer relationship management, (2) logistics, (3) manufacturing, (4) purchasing, and (5) inventory deployment. Enterprise operating systems work in conjunction with the firm's ERP system to provide specific functionality to support supply chain operation. While some ERP systems support required supply chain functionality, other lack some functionality such as that required to support warehouse and transportation operations.
