Activity One: Offering Help
Pick a situation and role-play it with a partner. Use the expressions about requesting help, offering help, and giving help. For more fun, really take on the role (like pretending to lose your purse, pretending to be a blind person crossing the street, and etc.).
Activity Two: Giving Advice
Work with a partner. Brainstorm for a list of “giving advice topics” in your daily lives or work. Then, take turn asking for and giving advice on one of these topics.
Activity Three: Giving Advice
Pretend that you are a teen counselor, named “Tammy.” Read these two letters and give the best advice as you can. Make sure you begin your sentence with the “giving advice” expressions.
