Differential pulse voltammetry was used for the quantification of
gold entrapped during electropolymerization into the PANI film as the
carrier of MPBA (Section 2.2). The differential pulse voltammograms
of sample 1 (solution of a dissolved modified PANI film) exhibited two
cathodic reduction peaks at 0.3 and 0.1 V vs Ag/AgCl (Fig. 3). Since the
peak observed at 0.3 V increased with the addition of a standard solution
of AuCl3, this peak was attributed to the reduction of Au (3+).
