Can I kindly recommend or even request your associations and the TFPC large coalition on issuing ASAP perhaps a brief email or notice to all member companies to ensure as Songkran period arrives all workers returning to Cambodia and Myanmar for holidays have their TOR 38/1 documents with them, original versions, in addition to original WP or WP receipts and passports. All documents original version are needed.
>
> Last few days, as always, but much more now, we are getting many reports from migrant workers having to pay much money to thai officials in border areas if they cannot produce TOR 38/1 or any other documents in inspection, the original version.
>
> Of course, it's a dishonest approach and oak in extortion in dark bushes or checkpoint rooms, particularly on Mar Sot route, as TOR 38/1 is no longer necessary when workers have passports, but it's happening a lot now and prevention methods can save workers money.

> Perhaps this issue can be raised to the Thai chamber of commerce too?
