The median UP:C ratio for dogs with pyo-
metra having an initial UP:C . 0.5 was 1.23, with a range of
0.5 to 8.69; the follow-up UP:Cs ranged from 0.02 to 4.06 (13).
Therefore, the UP:C (3.77) of the dog of this report at 3 y falls
within the follow-up range previously reported for dogs with
pyometra, though at the high end. The dog of this report had
evidence of transient proximal renal tubular dysfunction based
on glucosuria that resolved by day 11.
