Ordered mesoporous carbons (OMC) are excellent adsorbents
for materials owing to their abundant porous structure and high specific surface area [31,32], thus they can present
promising application in preconcentration and determination
of Mel. Furthermore, mesoporous carbons with high mechanical
stability and electric conductivity [33] have been widely
used in the fields of analytical chemistry and electrochemical
sensors [34–39]. In this work, the characterization and application
of OMC–Nafion/GCE for the preparation of electrochemical
sensing platform are proposed. Comparison of the electrochemical
response of Mel at OMC–Nafion/GCE and multiwall carbon
nanotubes (MWCNTs)–Nafion/GCE suggests that OMC–Nafion/GCE
has more favorable electron transfer kinetics than that of
MWCNTs–Nafion/GCE, which exhibits as a good model for constructing
an advanced and promising electrochemical sensing
platform based on OMC for further electrochemical detection of
other species.
