When most people read, they look at printed words on a page. When most people read, they use their eyes. But how does someone read if he is blind?
Blind people can read too. But they don’t read with their eyes. They use a system called Braille to read.
This system was invented by a man named Louis Braille. Louis Braille lost his sight when he was a little boy. He created Braille so that people like him could read.
With Braille, you don’t read by looking at printed words. Instead, you read by touching raised dots. These dots can be felt and understood through the fingertips.
