Regarding PV0801083
Thank you very much for ordering a solid wood worktop from Thaweephan.
We gone thru your specification and we would like to make a comment on your choice of sink installation.
From experience, not only from Thailand, but also from DFI-Geisler in Denmark, we can’t recommend to top mount
a sink in a wooden work top, because the wood around the sink will be discolored after a few months of use.
The reason is that the wood will be more humid in this area, when the sink is mounted from the top, it will be
Very difficult/take long time for the wood to dry, in a few months a black rim around the sink will appear, and it can’t be
Removed. It will also be impossible to re-oil this area, as the oil have to be added in the area under the sink rim, to protect
From moisture, and discoloration.
We are sorry to inform you that we can’t give any guarantee for this kind of installation, and we don’t cut holes for top mounted
Sinks in wood, due to bad experience from the past.
I have seen a picture of the sink chosen for this worktop, it might be suitable for under mounting, if the customer want us to
under munt this sink I will go to the Rachadapisek store and approve the sink tomorrow.
I hope for your understanding.
I am looking forward hearing from you.
Best regards
Poul Jepsen
