In this study, the novel consumer grade receivers, multiple global navigation satellite system were investigated for estimating lateral acceleration in vehicle maneuver via simplified vehicle lateral acceleration model. The experiment was performed in control test track in north of Bangkok, Thailand. The U-blox series M8 were evaluated with multi-GNSS (GPS, GPS+Glonass and GPS+Beidou) with 5-Hz sampling rate. Consequently, the estimated lateral acceleration were accurate in comparison with inertial measurement unit (IMU). In conclusion, the hardware is accurate enough to apply for vehicle monitoring system.
